This Privacy Policy describes how Best Bot Quiz (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use our Discord bot and related services. It is provided in English as required for the Discord App Directory and for international users.

Data we collect

Depending on how you interact with the bot, we may process:

  • Discord account identifiers — Discord User ID, username, display name, and avatar URL.
  • Guild (server) context — Guild IDs for servers where the bot is installed and where you use commands or features.
  • Gameplay and economy data — for example in-game balance, transactions, quiz answers, scores, streaks, duel records, achievements, inventory or shop purchases, and related logs needed to operate those features.
  • Technical data — limited operational data (for example timestamps or error diagnostics) as needed to keep the service secure and reliable.

Why we collect it

We use this information solely to provide and improve the service, including to:

  • Run the in-server economy, leaderboards, and role shop.
  • Operate quizzes, duels, scheduled games, and related game modes.
  • Authenticate and attribute actions to the correct Discord user and server.
  • Prevent abuse, enforce limits, and maintain fair play.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account or server continues to use the bot and the service remains active, and as needed to meet legal or security obligations. When the bot is removed from a server, certain server-scoped data may be deleted or anonymized according to our operational practices and configuration.

To request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, please use the support contact or invite URL published for this application in the Discord App Directory, or reach us through the official project Discord server linked from our website homepage. You may also open a ticket or message staff in the support server associated with your community if one is advertised there.

We will respond to legitimate requests in line with applicable law and our technical ability. Some information may need to be kept where we have a compelling legitimate interest (for example security or fraud prevention).

Third parties

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Data is processed to operate the service (for example hosting, database, and Discord’s own platform as the environment where the bot runs). Sub-processors are used only for infrastructure and service delivery, not for unrelated advertising.

Children

Our service is intended for Discord users subject to Discord’s age requirements. We do not knowingly collect data from children below the minimum age required by Discord or applicable law.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the bot after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
